How we calculate these figures
Every figure on this page is worked out from Kataria Engineering's daily material price list using the same item-by-item method as our Detailed BOQ Estimator: foundations, RCC columns, beams and slabs, brickwork, plaster and floors are measured for a typical house on each plot size and priced at today's rates, with labour. Finishing is added at our current rate per sq ft for each quality. When cement or steel prices change, this page changes too.
What does "grey structure" mean?
Everything up to plaster: excavation, foundation, RCC frame, roof slabs, brick walls, plaster and the floor base — without tiles, doors, windows, wiring fittings, sanitary ware, kitchen or paint.
Why does a bigger house cost less per sq ft?
Foundations, stairs and outer walls are shared by more covered area, so the cost per sq ft drops as the house gets larger.
Is this the final price?
