How this estimate works

Houses: grey structure is calculated from the main materials needed per square foot (cement 0.45 bag, steel 3.3 kg, 20 bricks, 2 cft sand, 2.4 cft crush), priced at today's rates, plus 12% for other grey items (shuttering, water, conduits, pipes, binding wire) and labour. Finishing is added at our standard, premium or luxury rate.

Commercial buildings: we price the basement raft, RCC retaining wall, basement slab and upper floors at Kataria Engineering's current rates, then adjust for any change in material prices since those rates were set. Finishing depends on whether floors are open halls or shops, offices and flats.
