About this calculator
List your bars with their shape and dimensions to get the cutting length of each, the total weight by bar size, and the cost at today's steel price.
How it's calculated
- Bend deductions: 45° = 1d, 90° = 2d, 135° = 3d
- Stirrup = 2(A + B) + 2 × 10d − 3 × 2d − 2 × 3d
- Cranked bar = A + 2 × 0.42 × crank height
- Weight = d² ÷ 162.2 kg per metre
