About this calculator
Get the cement and sand for any plaster job — internal walls, external walls or ceilings — with an allowance for uneven brickwork and joints.
How it's calculated
- Wet volume = area × thickness × (1 + 20% for joints & unevenness)
- Dry volume = wet × 1.33
- Cement = dry volume × cement share ÷ 1.25 cft per bag; sand = dry × sand share
